What gives?

Any other suggestions as to what to do with bananas that refuse to ripen? Twice in the last month I've had this problem. I guess I purchase organic bananas for the sole purpose of replenishing my compost pile.

When I buy mine from Grocery Outlet they won't ripen correctly unless I leave them in the plastic produce bag, (on the counter) that they come in. You might try that. It's weird, only Grocery Outlet's are stubborn that way.
Are the features on that banana from a Mr. Potato Head game? You have a lot of fun with my dish, don't you? ~Michele

Hmmm, I might try that, but you know I like my bananas when they're just beyond the green stage.
The Mr. Potato Head parts are from a mini set - I like the full size ones better.
That dish is one of three that I keep on my tiered do-hicky on the counter. You're chances of aquiring one are pretty good.

Where did you get the "Tom Nunnink" look-alike pic? Try using paper bags to ripen fruit in and keep them in a dark area for a couple of days. We used to do that with pears.....D

Hi Dad- He posed nicely for it after I applied a touch of chapstick.
Oh yea, I remember that trick. Would you call me daily and remind me to check the brown paper bag in my cabinet?
