Feathered Friends

They snubbed my offer of tract housing and extra spending money.A room with a view was preferred.
Five wee ones grew up and flew the coop.

*Note: The plant survived. The jury is still out on what type of birds they were.

When the birds try to make nests in our porch, Tim knocks them down. He's not a naturalist that way, I guess.
Once, a little bird had built a nest in a bush at face level right out our front door, and every time we'd walk out, it would fly into our face. I never could get used to that and would almost mess my pants each time.

Hi Michele- I've never had it happen before, so I thought it was rather special. It would probably get old if they did it all the time. Since it was right next to our front door, they flew the opposite direction of us. No messy pants here.

remember the pigeon that made a home at my front door and would chase me down all the way to my car at 530 am?.... Even hucking a cup of hot coffee on it wouldn't scare it away.... Took a b.b. gun to .... well ... this is rated "G" here isn't it... But you know what I'm sayin...

Oh yeah, now I remember. Didn't we think it was really cool at first? I have pictures of it. Did you want me to blow them up and frame for you?

Today I found a little tiny bird nest out at our driveway gate on the ground, made with horse hair....So now the babies are gone.....and the plant will survive!!!!

Alicia - Aren't birds resourceful? One nest from our collection has large chunks of plasic woven through.
